These are a few of my favorite things...

So, these days seems to be filled with lots of things to do... but they have proved to be some of my favorite days of being preggo :) I think that now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel I am getting more and more excited as each day passes. I have been feeling so much energy, sleeping much better, and trying to take it one day at a time! I think Ray and I have both finally gotten into a routine now as well.

We cleaned out the baby room last week. Ray, and Barrett's great grandpa put the crib and the dresser together. They look amazing! It's exciting to finally be getting things together for our little boy's room!

We have been extremely blessed by so many people with little boy clothes... that are completely adorable! :) So, they are now in the laundry basket ready to be washed...once I catch up on our laundry! But I love to walk by the washer and see the little clothes!

Then I walked into the guest room and found this tiny pair of socks under the chair. Its the little things in life :)

Many of you know that my dear hubby loves shoes :) Well, his little boy is following in his footsteps already. The top of Barrett's closet is already full of little shoes... placed just like daddy's :)

Another fave... seeing my husband in a SNULGI :) haha... how hot is he?? :)

Since I was 12 weeks preggo I have been putting this lovely Palmer's lotion and oil on. I literally get into my bed all greased up. :) But, so far, so good! I have heard so many different things that are supposed to work, but I'm just praying that my skin can stretch enough for the next few weeks!

Ok, don't freak out... I'm reading BABYWISE with a VERY open mind. :) I have had several friends glean much good from this book and several friends that hate to even mention it. It is my bathtub reading for the moment... and it has taught me alot about breast-feeding! I'll take the good and leave the bad! If I go by his wake and sleep schedule now, we'll be up ALL the time :)

And, though we never purchased the expensive pregnant body pillow (haha)... I use my regular body pillow and my Tempurpedic pillow to make a little nest for myself. Ray can barely find me under all the pillows :) But I am VERY comfy these days!

So with about 7 1/2 weeks left, I am HAPPY! I have felt so much peace lately! I am so thankful for so many things... that my heart can barely contain it!

We are headed to Staunton for a baby shower this weekend! I can't wait to see all my friends and family :) I am so blessed that so many people love my little family!

"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new things, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18,19

We had an afternoon off this week...
and my hubby made us a sweet little azalea garden.

The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.

He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;

he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children,
so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.

As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;

the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.

But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-

with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.

Psalm 103: 8-18

So Delicious!!
On saturday Ray and I had a 4-D ultrasound in the morning and got to see our cute little guy! I'll post some pics and video when I get them downloaded. But it was awesome to see him!
Then, in the after noon he took me to Nordstrom's to the Mac Make-up counter for a little make-up session before our date. :) The funny part of the story is that I have never owned hardly any make-up... including eye shadow, eye liner, etc. So, he bought me a couple of new basic make-up items! It was really fun! Then, he surprised me and took me to The Melting Pot. Pretty flowers were on the table for me and we were in our own little corner! Dinner was delicious! It was such a fun time together :) We laughed alot! It was a perfect birthday! I am so thankful for such wonderful friends and family that love me! :) Can't believe I am really half a century! :)

EASTER MORNING

So, that is what has been going on in our lives the past few weeks :) Fun times, but busy! We are starting to get things in order for the baby room, planning showers, and actually realizing that we are going to meet our son in about 10 weeks! Through all the ups and downs of this pregnancy, God has been so faithful to both of us. We feel so much grace and so many prayers uplifting us! We are truly blessed and overwhelmed by the love of our families and friends in this season! Thanks for your continued prayers for the next 2 months!
